((Set on Haen during the vacation away from the station because I missed that whole event and I really wanted to do it :c ))
[Even though Lavellan's only been on the station for a few months, it's already jarring to be anywhere else. The fresh air and sand and sea are a wonderful change of pace though, no doubt about it; even the beautiful forest scene he'd paid to have conjured up in the VR room, while a wonderful bit of "technology" (magic), hadn't been real. This is an honest-to-gods tropical paradise.
And he's here not by himself, but with a small gaggle of gorgeous men. Many of whom he's already had in bed (or various other places). And many of whom don't seem like they'd have any objections to falling into bed with him again.
This elf doesn't need any further proof that he's died and gone to a glorious afterlife.
But hey, dead or not, there are still things that need to be done. Places to go, people to see. And right now he's thinking that a certain couple of beautiful men he knows might enjoy a trip to that lovely little open-air market they have here, not too far from the cabins. He very clearly remembers seeing a stall with all manner of colorful silks and several with jewelry, and who better to spoil shamelessly model such pretty things than Izuminokami and Jirou?
Lavellan himself is padding around barefoot, in what amounts to a simple white peasant shirt and trousers, as he waits for the others to join him.]
[Jirou is not a sneaky sword by any means. Have you seen him? He's huge, he's drunk, he's quite loud. But something he also is? Heavy. Very heavy.
So when he comes up behind Lavellan and drapes himself over him, it's sure to be a ton of weight to suddenly support all at once. Yet there he is demanding attention as he nuzzles that pretty pale hair.]
Lave-saaaaan! They don't let me buy anymore alcohol heeeeere! They won't let me be drunk like I need to be! It's so mean!
[Yep. This sure is what he's decided will be his greeting. Hi, Lavellan.]
[Lavellan has promised him shopping and, honestly, time with Lavellan is on his list of Good Things, and also buying pretty things? Yes, please. So of course he's going to show up. Even if they're going to have to deal with an even more high-maintenance Jiroutachi.
Which is what he sees when he shows up and sighs before calling out.]
Oi, Jirou, you're gonna break him!
[Hopefully he hasn't been broken already. Jiroutachi is Big, after all, and Lavellan is not.]
[Lavellan hasn't entirely lost his edge, despite living in safety and relative luxury on the station for months on end. He's also actively waiting for the two sword-spirits to arrive, so it's not a surprise when he hears Jirou's footsteps behind him.
The taller man draping on him... that's a bit of a surprise.
The elf is strong, much stronger than his thin frame would suggest, but he still finds himself staggering just a bit before digging his feet in to support the weight of the beautiful (heavy) sword. Once he's reasonably convinced they aren't both going to face-plant into the sand, he reaches up to gently pat Jirou on the shoulder.]
Unconscionable. We'll find you something to drink while we're out, I promise. I'll tell them it's for me.
[Lavellan's not yet asked about the alcohol thing, but Jirou's a spirit. Spirits have their own rules, right?
The sound of Kanesada's voice brings a smile to the elf's face, even as he's still trying to console Jirou.]
[And of course he gives him a kiss right on the lips before getting up so he isn't leaning on Lavellan anymore. Less because he thinks he'll crush the elf and far more because that's a loooong way for him to keep leaning down. It's much easier to suddenly go and...
Wrap himself around Kanesada.
It pokes at the younger sword and it paints a pretty picture for their friend. Two birds...one stone.]
Should I squish you instead, Izu-san? You like when I carry your and toss you?
Kanesada crosses his arms and shakes his head, trying not to think about both Lavellan's smile directed at him and how Jiroutachi just straight up kissed Lavellan like they're not in the middle of civilization. There is a time and a place, you heathen!
But he doesn't have to worry for long about any of that, not when he instead has to worry about it being his turn to stay upright. He spreads his legs a little wider and braces himself against the sudden ungodly weight, the understandable strain probably obvious on his face, despite his best efforts not to show it.
And then? Jiroutachi has to talk shit??]
I have no idea what you're talking about. You're still drunk.
[His breath does reek of sake, but that's just part of being Jiroutachi. But it can still totally pass off as a good excuse, right?
That poke to his cheek causes him to frown amid the very noble effort of staying standing and if they were alone, Kanesada would definitely retaliate. Even if it meant getting his ass handed to him. But they're not alone and he has no intentions of making a fool of himself in front of Lavellan.]
[It's a good thing Jirou lets up on Lavellan shortly after the kiss, because the elf definitely wasn't expecting that one. To his credit he at least manages to keep from blushing (too much), given that he and Jirou have already done far more than simply kiss.
Once Jirou's weight is gone, Lavellan rolls his shoulders... and then finds himself lifting a hand to cover his mouth, to hide the grin he can't quite help at the sight of Jirou poking Kanesada's cheek. He knows they're from the same world but he doesn't know what sort of history they have, either there or on the station. All he sees is Jirou being playful and Kanesada pouting prettily.
And speaking of pretty, there's one very attractive man hanging off another very attractive man. Both of whom Lavellan's had... relations with.
He probably shouldn't find this image as appealing as he does. (But he does.)
In a valiant effort to keep his mind off those particular thoughts (and keep the majority of his blood from rushing south), Lavellan clears his throat and steps toward the pair of them, holding his hands out as an offering for either or both of them to take.]
Shall we head to the market, then? Jirou needs alcohol and I feel you're both in desperate need of something new and pretty to wear.
[The tone he uses is very much along the lines of "Oh you silly boy~" and he for certain pokes his cheek again. Because obviously Lavellan is enjoying the show so why not? However, Jirou doooes take notice of what is being said and looks over at the elf.
Who has just said almost all the things Jirou adores.]
Alcohol and something pretty to wear? Waaaah! Lave-san is so good!
[Leaving Kanesada, he reaches out and takes both those hands (he's greedy so don't mind him) and immediately starts dragging the tiny figure with him to the shops. Not hard really. Jirou is stronger than both of them and bigger too.]
[Jiroutachi cannot get off of Kanesada fast enough so when he finally does, Kanesada makes to help shove him away, even if it means both of Lavellan's hands are greedily taken up. That's fine. He doesn't need to hold someone's hand. He doesn't need to hold anyone's hand! He's strong and cool and independent!
He does need to rub his shoulders really quickly because oof he hadn't prepared for Jiroutachi weight training today. It's not a big deal, though, and he follows Jiroutachi and Lavellan.
While those two are off doing...whatever they end up doing, Kanesada will keep an eye out for anyone selling jewelry and accessories. It doesn't take long to see earrings on display and he immediately gravitates toward them. He's content, for now.]
[Startled laughter erupts from Lavellan as he's pulled away by the much taller sword-spirit; for all that he's stronger than he looks, for all that he's fought--and slain--dragons, it's absurdly easy for Jirou to drag him around. Probably because being dragged around by a beautiful man who wants to spend time with him (even if it's only because Lavellan's bribing him with alcohol and pretty things) is sort of like a dream come true for the elf?
Not that he's forgetting Kanesada in all of this. He turns his head to try to keep the other man in his sight as Jirou pulls him away--]
We'll catch up with you, don't worry!
[--and then he returns his attention to Jirou, whose enthusiasm must be contagious if the elf's smile is anything to judge by.]
What first then, lovely? Shopping while we wait for Izuminokami to catch up? Or alcohol first?
[It's like he has a nose for it. He knows exactly where it's sold here because he's tried to get alcohol here to no avail. Very unfortunate really. Don't they know he needs alcohol to stay holy?
So rude.]
We should give some to Izu-san too. He enjoys alcohol too.
[And maaaaaaaaaaybe Jirou wants to see if he can get him drunk again.]
[Kanesada waves at the two of them so they know he's heard, but continues to look at everything. There are a few pairs that really catch his eye, and then some that come sold as multiple pairs, which is perfect because he needs to keep the multiple piercings in his right ear from closing up. He keeps looking, since Lavellan did say they'd come back, but he's kind of bored without company. So he keeps the stall in mind as he looks for the others so he can catch up.
It's a good thing Jiroutachi is, like, a gajillion centimeters tall because it makes it really easy to spot him in a crowd. So it doesn't take long to catch up and, of course, they're near an alcohol seller. It's Jiroutachi, after all, there's really no surprises to be had.
Luckily for Kanesada, he's just missed the horrible implications of where is life is about to head.]
Does he? Maybe I'll get some to bring back with us, then.
[Which is exactly what he does. Jirou gets his own portion first, and Lavellan's just tucking a couple of spare bottles he's purchased into a shopping bag when Kanesada catches up. Might as well continue to enjoy themselves after the shopping trip is over and they're back at their lodgings. Maybe he can convince his lovely companions to model for him when they get back.
Hey, a guy can dream.
Lavellan's smile is just as bright and delighted every time he sees Kanesada, and even though it's only been five minutes, this time is no exception.]
My apologies. I think Jirou's ready now though, yes?
((Set on Haen during the tropical vacation event))
[Having completed a few of the squares on his bingo card by now, Lavellan has a small savings tucked away for his eventual (supposed) return trip to Thedas. His own living expenditures are relatively minor--food, a few sturdy outfits, and the occasional small splurge like the kohl he wears around his eyes. The leftover money from his somewhat frugal lifestyle could be spent to improve his living situation back on the station, whenever they get back there, but he's already decided against that. He doesn't need anything fancy. His quarters back in Skyhold haven't left him completely soft. Give him a hammock or a bedroll and a campfire--or the station's equivalent, a tiny berth with a bed and a small living room--and he's perfectly content.
No, aside from a few trips to the VR rooms, most of his spare money goes toward spoiling everyone else.
"Everyone else" being Kanesada and Jirou, mostly, and Masamune when he gets the opportunity. Lavellan hadn't thought his weakness for pretty men was quite this bad, prior to his arrival on the station, but here he is. Sylaise forgive him.
He's gone swimming in the ocean, explored the beaches, enjoyed the music. Enjoyed the company. And now here he is with Kanesada at one of the markets, trying to decide which of the beautiful jewelled combs would look best in that mass of gorgeous hair.]
This one, I think?
[He holds the comb up to view it against Kanesada's coloring, eyeing it critically.]
[The time spent down on Haen has been good for Kanesada. He's not particularly fond of beaches or the ocean, though he's never had a personally bad experience with either, but the real air and the chance to just exist somewhere else definitely come out on top. He's not alone, either, even if some of the other people from the station are enough on their own to make his head ache on a good day.
Lavellan isn't one of them. Lavellan is a bright spot.
Which is why he doesn't mind at all being taken out shopping on multiple occasions, especially now since he's alone with Lavellan. No Jiroutachi to pull his attention away. Jiroutachi's fine and all, but in small doses.
No, right now the two of them are checking out hair combs, with Kanesada bent over the array of colors and designs, trying to figure out which ones he likes best. Ones, because why limit yourself to just a single pretty thing?
When Lavellan makes his own possible choice, though, Kanesada turns to check it out.]
Hm? Oh, yeah! It's got lots of red in it. Red looks really good on me.
[Considering that's his clothing color of choice when he can make that choice. And red just pops against his dark hair. Kanesada leans in closer, though, so Lavellan can definitely see that fact for himself.]
[And of course, just as Kanesada thinks he is getting some alone time with Lavellan, who should be strolling into the place but Masamune.
Masamune probably has been the one who doesn't let Lavellan spoil him the most. Mostly, he likes giving back as good as he gets, and that means he's refused to let the elf buy him stuff on more than one occasion, just like he's refused to let him walk away unsatisfied several times.
But seeing two of his favorite people together means he's going to go and see what's going on.]
I think anything would look good on you--although you are particularly stunning in red, it's true.
[Lavellan's not ashamed to be fawning over Kanesada in public. One look at the dark-haired man and anyone in their right mind would do the same, to the elf's way of thinking. He just happens to be the lucky one in the position to do it, at least for the moment. And as long as they don't break any of Haen's rules, as long as they remember they're not on the station, what does it matter if Lavellan's cooing over Kanesada like a lovestruck fool? Kanesada's never seemed to take offense to it.
He's already decided to buy the red comb, and he's wondering now if there might be one to bring out the sword-spirit's pretty eyes, when Masamune draws his attention.
He turns with a smile; alone time with Kanesada is possibly his favorite thing these days, but Masamune is another of his favorite people. Unless the addition upsets Kanesada, or steals him away altogether, why would Lavellan mind?]
As a matter of fact, yes. Don't you think Izuminokami would look lovely in this?
[That's right, he learned how to say it. Score one for the elf.]
[Lavellan always says such lovely, wonderful things to him. Kanesada just continues smiling and nods. They could do this literally all day and as long as Lavellan kept lavishing pretty words on him, he'd never get tired of it.
He's really quite terrible at reciprocation, though.]
Have I ever told you you have fantastic taste?
[He probably has, in one way or another.
Ah, but this little moment is interrupted by...Masamune...
His smile weakens a bit, but Kanesada doesn't make any protests at his presence. They've...come to an understanding while spending time on Haen and while Kanesada would still call Masamune annoying at any given moment, he's doing his best to treat him better. It sucks that now he won't have time alone with Lavellan, unless Masamune just leaves, though he doubts it, but he can still be pleasant, if nothing else.
And Lavellan has given the other man a good opening to compliment Kanesada. And he said his name correctly! That brings his smile back even stronger as he adjusts his pose so Masamune can see the color contrast better.
[Really, Kanesada should appreciate Masamune more, because even though he says it in much cruder ways than Lavellan, he has never been holding back on complimenting Kanesada at all. Ever. Loudly. To anyone who would listen. Because Kanesada is fucking hot and that's a fact. Enough of a fact that Masamune might actually fight someone saying he isn't.
He does give a nod of approval for the comb, though. It does look good.]
You need a red and gold kimono to go with that. And a blue obi to bring out your eyes.
Man, but his hair really is something, isn't it Llan-chan?
[Of course Lavellan has excellent taste look who he's been banging lately. He just chuckles at the comment.]
Once or twice, perhaps.
[He nods along with Masamune's suggestions, and although terms like kimono and obi are still not incredibly familiar, he's seen what the sword-spirits and Masamune wear often enough to at least start to understand. Besides, anything red and gold would look amazing on Kanesada, no matter what shape or form.]
We've still plenty of the market left to explore, I'm sure there must be something we can find to go with these. [Since it's pretty obvious there's going to be more than one new comb purchased, let's be real.] Would you like to join us?
[The elf grins at the bit about Kanesada's hair, turning the smile on Kanesada even as he's answering Masamune.]
I'm sure if there were anyone half so beautiful back home to distract me, Thedas would most assuredly be doomed.
[Masamune didn't call him pretty, but you know what? That's good, too.
And if he were a lesser sword...man...Kanesada might be a little overwhelmed by how heavy the praise is laid on him. Honestly, it's been a while since so many people have just straight-up done this that he is a little overwhelmed. But not enough to it get to him, no sirs. Instead he smiles proudly and stands up straight, planting his hands firmly on his hips.
That's damn right, boys, that's damn right!]
Well, I'm glad we're all on the same page today and showing excellent taste.
[And since he's in an especially good mood now, he won't protest Masamune coming along. But he turns to Lavellan and clicks his tongue.]
Hmm, doom's no good, though. Don't do that.
[Don't mind that Kanesada boops your nose with a finger, either.
[There are literally thousands of people in Thedas that would be utterly shocked to see the Herald of Andraste's nose get booped like he's a small child. Lavellan himself just laughs, soaking up the attention from Kanesada and happy that his pretty companion is enjoying himself on their little trip so far.
He does experience a momentary pang of something that looks a lot like jealousy as Masamune disappears with the sword spirit (it's exactly what he was fearing, that something would come along and ruin his time with Kanesada) but he's quick to tamp it back down. He likes Masamune, and the younger man has never been anything but honest with him. Well, except for that time he coaxed him into performing in front of--
Okay point is, he trusts Masamune.
So looking a little bewildered but otherwise no worse for the wear, he nods to the two of them and then busies himself with deciding how many and which of these jeweled combs to buy for Kanesada.]
[Now wait just a second. Why is he being dragged away? He didn't do anything to deserve this!
But he still allows Masamune to do it, only glancing back at Lavellan once to make sure he's not upset or anything. Which means he sees that darker expression, if only for a moment. And which also means he frowns at Masamune when he's finally confronted.]
He buys me what he wants when he wants. What does it matter?
[Masamune rolls his eyes when he sees the look on both of their faces, and he waves a little towards Lavellan. really, they'll just be a second! he's bringing him back promise!]
It matters because I know how he is. He always spoils other people, and he never thinks about himself and his own needs. He's the guy who was ready to go home with a raging boner because my legs weren't really cooperating after he got me off and I had to trip him up so I could make sure he had fun too.
So I don't really care if he's buying you all that stuff, but if all he gets in return is your company, then you seriously need to step up your game. I think he deserves a lot more for all the efforts he makes.
So I'm gonna let him buy you those things cuz they look damn good on you, but after that, we are spoiling him for once and not the other way around.
[And this time, Masamune looks very serious about this. It's important to him.]
Lagunbiru-verse, shopping trip for Jirou and Kanesan

Tell him he's pretty, you little shit.]

He does give a nod of approval for the comb, though. It does look good.]
You need a red and gold kimono to go with that. And a blue obi to bring out your eyes.
Man, but his hair really is something, isn't it Llan-chan?

look who he's been banging lately. He just chuckles at the comment.]Once or twice, perhaps.

[Don't mind that Kanesada boops your nose with a finger, either.
no subject
Sorry, Lan-chan, can I borrow him for just a minute? I won't be long.
[He ends up just dragging Kanesada away, down a few stalls, so he can speak to him privately.]
... So. Exactly how much stuff do you let him buy you? Does he treat you all the time?
no subject
He does experience a momentary pang of something that looks a lot like jealousy as Masamune disappears with the sword spirit (it's exactly what he was fearing, that something would come along and ruin his time with Kanesada) but he's quick to tamp it back down. He likes Masamune, and the younger man has never been anything but honest with him. Well, except for that time he coaxed him into performing in front of--
Okay point is, he trusts Masamune.
So looking a little bewildered but otherwise no worse for the wear, he nods to the two of them and then busies himself with deciding how many and which of these jeweled combs to buy for Kanesada.]
no subject
But he still allows Masamune to do it, only glancing back at Lavellan once to make sure he's not upset or anything. Which means he sees that darker expression, if only for a moment. And which also means he frowns at Masamune when he's finally confronted.]
He buys me what he wants when he wants. What does it matter?
no subject
Deal?
