[It's almost too easy to get Lavellan to cooperate, but at the same time it's always flattering to hear him lose his composure just because Kanesada exists in his vicinity. If they were back on the station right now, he'd probably be bolder, continue teasing him to get more reactions, but he doesn't want to draw the ire of these planet-dwellers without good reason. So he contains himself and just continues resting his head on Lavellan's shoulder.]

He spoils me just the right amount.

[Okay, Masamune has a good idea, too. Kanesada smiles, the happiness evident in his voice.]

Mm, yeah, you're really good with my hair. I can model all these combs for you, too! This works out perfectly.

[Spoil Kanesada too much? Lavellan could argue that easily, could point out how he's trying to enjoy to the fullest something he's inevitably bound to lose--the way he's lost nearly everything and everyone else that he's treasured in his life--but that verges into territory he'd rather not explore right now. Not when the point of this whole trip to the markets was to have fun, and to make Kanesada happy.

It also sounds unbearably selfish when one thinks about it like that, and at least for today Lavellan would rather... not. So he simply smiles and answers at nearly the same time as Kanesada.]

Impossible.

[The idea of playing with Kanesada's hair while Masamune cooks for them is a pleasant one; Lavellan hardly needs to think about that one at all before he's nodding in agreement. At least until Masamune's fingers brush his ear and most of the thoughts in his head scatter like leaves in the wind.]

Nghh-- N-no. It's not something my people are in the habit of. [Wow, what is focus with Kanesada this close and Masamune teasing his ears??] Come on, let's find something new for Izuminokami to wear tonight, and then we can find the groceries you need.

[He's probably going to angle toward buying new clothing for Masamune as well, once they get there.]

Well, you should think about it. It'd look good on you.

[And probably make these very sensitive ears even more sensitive, but you know. he's just saying.

He lets go, but only long enough to grab one of Lavellan's hands and lace their fingers together, leaving Kanesada to drape himself onto the elf's other side. Clothing is a good idea, as long as they're not the only ones who get any, and he exchanges a meaningful glance with Kanesada over the white hair.

Lavellan in a kimono sounds pretty good to him, if you know what he means, Kanesada.]

Get clip-on earrings.

[Kanesada assumes actually piercing your ears can hurt, though he doesn't know himself, despite...having pierced ears. But he does know that Kashuu wears clip-ons and they look fine.]

You can look pretty when you feel like it, but not worry about sticking holes in yourself.

[When Masamune takes hold of Lavellan, though, Kanesada wraps his own arm around the other, not willing to have someone he likes taken away. Even if Masamune wouldn't necessarily run off into the sunset, breaking off his own plans.

The look he gets takes a few moments to read properly. And even then Kanesada isn't entirely sure what it means, but he's supposed to play nice today, so he'll nod and hope he hasn't gotten himself involved in something even more insane as they all start the clothing search.]

[Although most elves in Thedas are generally considered beautiful--and although Lavellan's let himself be treated like a pretty object at times in the past (not that he's in the habit of admitting it)--he's not much used to that sort of thing anymore. Now he's Your Worship or Lord Inquisitor or more simply, the little elf with the really big sword, hacking through demons and cultists and whatnot. So it's a little jarring to have both of these men, men he cares about far more than he probably ought to, suggesting something to make his ears prettier. Men who don't have any context for the sort of elf fetish that's sadly all-too-common in Thedas.

Creators, is he actually considering this now?

Kanesada's comment draws a laugh.]

That sounds like a much better idea. I usually try to avoid adding to the number of holes stuck in me at any given time.

[He's pretty sure he's just spotted the start of the clothing stalls in the market, off to one side, when Masamune and Kanesada seem to wrap themselves around him as if on cue.

His focus is just about shot, boys.]

...please don't take this as a complaint, but... the two of you are going to absolutely spoil me like this, you realize?

[Little does he know.]

... Uh, yeah. That's kind of the point, Llan-chan.

[Really, now, there is selfless and there is clueless, and guess which category your are falling into right now, Lavellan? Or did you really think they were doing this without noticing they were doing it? Not them. They're a bit more scheming than that.]

I think we should get him something in gold to go with you in red... or maybe a sort of turquoise? Something deep though. What do you think, Kanesada?
