[Besides, now that the idea is there in his head, he's rapidly warming up to it. And if he were to backtrack now and change his mind, then he wouldn't look very cool at all.
Appearance is very important, you know.
...That compliment? Is nice, though. Every little bit helps his self-esteem, too.]
Red is a good color in general. Kiyomitsu told me once that it can represent passion and dominance and stuff like that. And that if someone wears red, then other people are more likely to find them attractive.
[Kanesada starts heading to the stall that Lavellan pointed out and looks back at the others, smirking unabashedly.]
[Although most elves in Thedas are generally considered beautiful--and although Lavellan's let himself be treated like a pretty object at times in the past (not that he's in the habit of admitting it)--he's not much used to that sort of thing anymore. Now he's Your Worship or Lord Inquisitor or more simply, the little elf with the really big sword, hacking through demons and cultists and whatnot. So it's a little jarring to have both of these men, men he cares about far more than he probably ought to, suggesting something to make his ears prettier. Men who don't have any context for the sort of elf fetish that's sadly all-too-common in Thedas.
Creators, is he actually considering this now?
Kanesada's comment draws a laugh.]
That sounds like a much better idea. I usually try to avoid adding to the number of holes stuck in me at any given time.
[He's pretty sure he's just spotted the start of the clothing stalls in the market, off to one side, when Masamune and Kanesada seem to wrap themselves around him as if on cue.
His focus is just about shot, boys.]
...please don't take this as a complaint, but... the two of you are going to absolutely spoil me like this, you realize?
I'm afraid I don't have the right coloration for red, myself. I'm more of a green or a blue, I think--not that you can usually tell, when I'm covered neck to toe in metal armor. But thankfully I believe the two of you more than make up for my failings.
[The silk stand isn't far, thankfully, since with Jirou in the party it's a bit like herding cats. Not that Lavellan's ever had to deal with something like that before, ahem.
Those names have him curious, though--]
Tell me more about your home? If either of you wouldn't mind, I mean. It sounds so different from Thedas, I'd love to hear more about it.
... Uh, yeah. That's kind of the point, Llan-chan.
[Really, now, there is selfless and there is clueless, and guess which category your are falling into right now, Lavellan? Or did you really think they were doing this without noticing they were doing it? Not them. They're a bit more scheming than that.]
I think we should get him something in gold to go with you in red... or maybe a sort of turquoise? Something deep though. What do you think, Kanesada?
It's a citadel! We've all been summoned there to fight these scary demons that want to change history!
[Jirou smiles brightly now as he launches into the part that actually interests him. Talk about Taroutachi.]
Aniki is huge though. So big and so beautiful. There's no other sword around that is more beautiful than he is, not even me. He's quiet and calm, always there for me. We even drink together and he's one of very few who can match me drink for drink. You won't find anyone as kind and wonderful as he is.
